 PUNCTUALITY AT SCHOOL

We wish to remind our valued parents and guardians especially the new ones that pupils should be in school before 8:00am for circle time which is very fundamental as every child goes through a routine. Please help the children to get to school on time. Remember to call the school before 8:00a.m., if for any reason your child would be late. You can reach the school on 07017023557 or 08183724274.

 LATE PICK-UP

We also wish to remind you that late pick-up of children after school (from 3:30p.m.) attracts a penalty of N500 per hour each day per child. All children for after school close by 6:00p.m.  Parents would be billed subsequently for late pick-up. Please communicate to the office before 3.00p.m and 6:00p.m, reasons why you would be late in picking up your child/children.

SUPERVISION OF HOMEWORK

We wish to let our new parents know that we place a lot of premium on giving and doing of homework; as it goes a long way to give us feedback on whether children are really understanding what they are being taught or not. We would therefore appreciate it if you would make sure your children do their pieces of homework neatly and turn them in on time for marking. Please remember to sign all pieces of homework done.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE (PTC)

Our PTC will be coming up next month for two consecutive days starting from the 13th– 14th February, 2020. Parents are encouraged to come to the school to discuss the progress of their ward.

ORIENTATION  FOR NEW PARENTS

There would be an orientation for new parents to discuss the principles of Montessori and how parents can apply the concepts at home for reinforcements.

WORLD BOOK DAY

World Book Day is organized by UNESCO to give every young person a book of their own. It is a day set aside every year to celebrate reading, books, authors and illustrators. Our children are to come dressed in their favourite book character for instance, as Minnie Mouse, Batman etc. Parents could donate books they no longer have need for to be given out to charity homes.

ENRICHMENT PROGRAM WITH PARENTS

There are different enrichment programs the school undertakes which include: Gardening, Cookery, Art and Craft, Music, French,Sports and STEM. Parents are encouraged to participate in these programs by sending in their time slots slated for these enrichment programs which is between 1pm and 2pm each day, as well as what program they would like to volunter to take the kids on. It would be a lot of fun.

STAFF

It is a joy this year to welcome a member of staff. We welcome on board Miss Bernice Enitan Omosanya, the school’s new administrative officer.

FEES

Please pay school fees directly into ROOTS GARDEN SCHOOL REV account. GTB Bank, Account number 0427379935. Kindly present evidence of payment to the school admin for receipts to be issued. Please see the Admin to schedule payment if you wish to pay in installments.

We look forward to a fruitful term of working together for the good of our children, and may God richly bless us all.
